The owners of the Michelin-starred pub the Star Inn in Harome, North Yorkshire, have taken over the nearby Pheasant hotel.
Jacquie and Andrew Pern are re-opening the hotel, also located in Harome, in April, adding further accommodation and increased dining room space in the vicinity of the Star Inn.
The Pheasant will be open to non-residents throughout the day for breakfast, morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
Dinner can be taken from either the daily-changing Market Menu - which costs £30 per person and features the likes of raviolli of confit muscoates wild rabbit with radish and lemon thyme, loin of Leckenby's spring lamb, wild garlic risotto and pickled clams, and chocolate tart with orange blossom yoghurt ice cream - or from the Chef's Menu, which showcases the simple, fresh flavours of ingredients, sourced locally from, wherever possible, within Ryedale.
Smaller and larger portions also allow for meals to be taken as traditional starters and main courses, according to appetite. Alternatively, the smaller portions permit a selective "Taster Menu" approach.
