Nexum Leisure boss Paul Kinsey has stumped up a £20,000 reward in a bid to catch thieves who made off with cash believed to be worth around six-figures from the Syndicate nightclub in Blackpool.
Thieves broke into the Syndicate, one of Britain's largest clubs, on New Year's Day and police believe they used a set of duplicate keys.
Two masked burglars have been caught on CCTV entering the venue at around 11pm on 1 January. Once inside they used a crowbar to get at the cash. They returned to the club around 2.45am to take more money.
"It is heartbreaking for us and for all the staff," said Kinsey. "Trading has been difficult and staff had worked damn hard to take all that money — which has now been stolen."
Kinsey said that he wanted a "quick conclusion" to the matter as, given the circumstances of the break-in, former and current employees were under suspicion.
"The situation creates a bit of mis-trust," he said. "We want to get this resolved and get the team back to work as it is casting a cloud over them.
"I want my money back and I want things back to normal at the club."
Police are currently following a number of lines of inquiry.
