Pub management firm County Estate has teamed up with Carlsberg and Country Choice to offer wet-led pubs an entry level food concept.
County Estate, which manages pubs on behalf of 14 different owners including Pubfolio, is offering licensees the chance to receive free point of sale kits and menus.
The kits include posters, table talkers and an external banner. The menu includes six simple products: Big Bite Sausage Roll, Steak Bake, Traditional Cornish Pastie, Potato Dog, Chicken Tikka Masala Bake, Potato, Cheese and Onion Pastie.
"Licensees need all the support they can get at the moment and this is an easy way into a new market that is simple to implement and should increase the amount of time, and money, that consumers will spend in those venues," said Danny Rogers of County Estate Management.
"We have been able to produce a range of simple, yet enticing, foods designed to generate a new revenue stream for wet-lead venues. By associating the meal deal concept with a leading brand like Carlsberg, the offering gives our customers real credibility in a challenging market place and provides great value to the consumers."
David Scott, head of on-trade customer marketing at Carlsberg, added: "We are working very hard to look at ways at which we can help the on-trade, especially during these difficult times, and by ensuring that this offer represents great value for money we are giving our customers an easy way of attracting more custom without putting themselves out of pocket."
Those who choose to take on the menu will receive three boxes of free stock. For more information contact Amy Johnson at County Estate Management on 01225 715305.
