Beverage Brands has published two WKD footie tactics sheets providing licensees with tips on how they can drive footfall and generate business throughout the football season.

One leaflet forms part of WKD's football-themed PoS kits containing items to grab customers' attention.

The other leaflet is linked to a "WKD football download initiative", which invites licensees to sign up for a series of free football-related downloads over a 12-week period from 14 August.

Many of the tips in the first leaflet are to pre-publicise the screening of matches with the kits, with six different reusable posters that can be placed in the window to attract the attention of passing trade, or to let customers know about promotions.

The promotion is aimed at pubs that have their own associated football team, pubs frequented by local teams or ones thinking of setting up their own pub team.

"There's even a chance to win a complete team football strip," added Beverage Brands.

The first 800 outlets to sign up for the downloads will also receive a free WKD Know the Score noticeboard to display football-related information in the pub.
