Marstons launches best pub search
Marston's Pub Company has launched its annual awards to recognise the best in its estate.
In addition to the prestigious top prize of Marston's Pub Company Pub of the Year, there are nine categories to choose from including Beer Quality, Customer Experience, Family, Community, Food Pub, Fine Dining, Newcomer, as well as Best Mini and Major Refurbishment.
Last year's Pub of The Year winner was Laura Condiffe of the White Lion in Cheshire.
"The competition is stiff and all pubs that go through to the final round are all stars in the trade," said chairman of judges Phil Dixon.
"This year has been extremely challenging for licensees and many have outshone their competition purely as a result of sheer guts and imaginative business acumen.
"As with the previous years, deciding winners will be a tough call."
Marston's Pub Company managing director Stephen Oliver added: "It is our way of saying thank you to retailers for their hard work, determination and success especially through the current challenging trading climate."
All Marston's Pub Company licensees have received their entry pack and have until 30 May to complete the forms, with judging taking place between June and August.
The awards evening is being held at The Belfry, Sutton Coldfield on 13 November.
