JD Wetherspoon lines up two Terminal Five sites
Wetherspoon is opening two new outlets at the new multi billion-pound Terminal Five building at Heathrow Airport, taking the total number of pubs it operates at airports to 25.
Both The Crown Rivers and the Wetherspoon Express bar will open from Thursday 27 March the terminal¹s official opening day.
They are both located 'airside' at Terminal Five. The two new outlets will bring the tally of Wetherspoon pubs and bars to nine at Heathrow Airport. Wetherspoon is investing £1.35 million in developing the sites and creating a total of 70 new jobs.
The Crown Rivers will offer a full menu throughout the day, while Wetherspoon Express will serve a wide range of sandwiches, paninis, muffins and other snacks.
The Crown Rivers will be operating a table service, in some areas of the pub. It will have a British theme to its menu, with fish and chips, bangers and mash, haggis and Irish stew. The pub will also serve its own real ale called 'The Crown Rivers', brewed especially for the pub by Loddon Brewery.
