Free drink-drive posters for pubs

Free posters are being made available to pubs this Christmas to re-enforce the dangers of drink-driving.

A range of posters are being offered to licensees and pubcos, courtesy of the Department for Transport (DfT).

The message from the DfT is that even one alcoholic drink can be too much when driving. The safest option is to have soft drinks, appoint a designated driver or get a taxi, it said.

Last December 9,658 drivers tested positive for being over the legal alcohol limit .

The Christmas drink-drive campaign will include TV, cinema, radio, online and in-pub advertising, totalling a media spend of over £1.5m.
