Thwaites has kitted out a multitude of pubs with party packs ahead of Lancashire day on 27 November.

The Lancashire brewer will be pulling out all the stops for the annual event, with its Flying Shuttle ale taking centre stage as the official beer of Lancashire Day.

It has also issued a host of pubs with special party packs, which include commemorative drip mats, posters, t-shirts and red rose badges for customers to wear on the day.

"The name of Daniel Thwaites is synonymous with Lancashire, so as soon as we knew about Lancashire Day, we knew we had to do something special," said marketing manager Lee Williams.

"Lancashire Day is a celebration of all things Lancastrian. The old and the new, the sights and sounds of the county and most importantly, great Lancashire food and Thwaites beer."

People will even be encouraged to order their pints in traditional Lancashire dialect, to really get into the spirit of things on the big day.

Williams added: "We have had special red rose pin badges made at selected pubs and people can come in and request them in advance, and anyone who then returns on Lancashire Day wearing one can claim a pint of Thwaites Flying Shuttle ale.

"We will also be having areas where people can taste some of the many different Thwaites beers and I'm sure that they will endorse the fact that you cannot beat the 200 years of Lancashire experience that goes into the beers."
