Thwaites has teamed up with a Lancashire butcher to introduce regionally-reared beef into selected pubs.
The brewery has teamed up with Althams Butchers in Morecambe and regionally produced beef will now be available in four Thwaites pubs: the Lister Arms in Malham; the Boatyard near Preston; the Swan and Cemetery in Bury and the Albion in Cumbria.
Thwaites knows where the produce has come from, what the cows have been fed and even the family history behind the farm itself.
Thwaites catering development manager Judi Houghton said: "We are proud to be working so closely with another Lancashire business which provides such a high quality product.
"The meat is hand picked and we know that when it is served to our customers, it will be second to none."
Althams sales manager David Keating added: "All our products have full traceability throughout the entire process which enables the product to be traced from the field to the point of delivery.
"Thwaites know everything about the product. They know which farm the meat comes from and what the cattle were being fed, so it really is a guaranteed quality service."
