Newcastle Brown Ale
Gateshead's Millennium Bridge is featured for the first time on a new-look label for Newcastle Brown.
The limited-edition label has been produced to celebrate the brand's 80th birthday and will appear on 55cl bottles from August.
The Millennium Bridge joins the famous silhouette of the Tyne Bridge and the brand's blue-star motif on the new design.
S&NUK brand manager
Doug Cook said: "The label celebrates the history and modernity of a beer that was created in Newcastle in 1927 to satisfy the hard-earned
thirst of local miners and shipbuilders. It went on to garner acclaim and strong sales in more than 40 countries around the world."
Tribute
St Austell Brewery's flagship ale, Tribute, is the new sponsor of this year's Plymouth Beer Festival.
Organised by the town's local Campaign for Real Ale branch, the Cornish brewer is backing the event, which runs on 27 and 28 July.
Tribute was recently voted the South West's favourite beer in the Cask Marque and Daily Telegraph Best of British Beer Awards.
St Austell Brewery trade marketing manager Marc Bishop said: "Tribute is now available in many Plymouth pubs, bars and local supermarkets. We are pleased to support a premier event in the Plymouth diary."
Hydes
Manchester's Hydes Brewery has launched Summertime Blue, the fourth of its 2007 craft-ale portfolio.
Hydes produces six special beers within its craft-ale range each year. The brewery's 2007 portfolio takes names and imagery from famous music hits over the past 40 years.
The latest beer, created for July and August, takes its name from the Eddie Cochran hit Summertime Blues.
The 4.1% abv beer will be distributed throughout the country by national wholesalers, as well as throughout the Hydes pub estate, and will also be featured within Scottish & Newcastle's Cellarmans Reserve guest ale programme.
