Pub chefs are being invited to enter a competition to win a trip of a lifetime.
To enter the competition, which is organised by Interchef, chefs must showcase the finest ingredients from Australia in a dish reflecting a relaxed outdoor lifestyle.
Entrants can register to receive an entry form at www.interchef.orgThe competition is now in its second year and sponsors include New Forest Barramundi in Dorset and the Western Australian Government.
Eight finalists will be chosen,following a paper judging, to create their dish at a final on 9 October at The Restaurant Show in London.
An international judging team will be led by Nick Vadis of the Craft Guild of Chefs.
"The prize will be even more amazing than last year" said Keri Ackling, director of Interchef.
Last year's winner Richard Edwards from Kensington's Royal Garden Hotel, was
joined by his girlfriend Emily, and flew to Dubai as a guest of the Emirates
Culinary Guild and Churchill China in early January 2007.
They then went on to spend ten days in Western Australia, where time was split between working with Chef Chris Taylor of Fraser's restaurant in Perth, relaxing and enjoying Western Australia's unspoilt beaches, reefs, countryside and some outstanding food and wine visits. Their prize trip was valued at over £9,000.
