"We intend to build a significant portfolio of carvery businesses during the comings months Herald managing director Kevin Allcock.
Allcock said: "We have an excellent diversity of businesses that are very well positioned to capitalise on both late-night and casual dining markets.
"Our first Mood2 opens in Carlisle this Friday, following
which we will look to develop a further six Mood2's during 2007.
"I am equally excited to share our investment plans within the casual and family dining market, beginning with our first carvery concept at the New River Arms in Broxbourne. "We've taken a long hard look at successful businesses within this market and we will look to capitalise on the opportunity by creating a new generation of carvery businesses.
"The New River carvery will focus on serving quality carvery roasts alongside several alternative main meal options, directly from the carving deck, therefore removing lengthy 'meal to the table' waiting periods. In addition, vegetables, salads and sauces are available for customers to help themselves.
"In essence, what we are creating is an 'Every day's a Sunday' experience, where all the family can enjoy main meal variety alongside healthy options, served within minutes of arrival, in a home-from-home traditional environment.
"We intend to build a significant portfolio of carvery businesses during the comings months, through organic and acquisition growth."
