The winners of the first Best of British Beer Awards have been announced.
About 30,000 real-ale drinkers turned out to vote in the competition that has named the top three beers in 10 regions of the country.
The results were published in the Daily Telegraph, which organised the competition with Cask Marque. The four- page feature also contained information on real ale, the trade and tasting notes for the winning beers.
Last month, 2074 Cask Marque-accredited pubs doubled as polling stations to accept votes for the one-week competition.
Cask Marque managing director Paul Nunny said: "It's been a real success - and it's only the first year.
"People have been going out of their way to vote, which is a great result."
