Actors are to be used to teach licensees how to cope with the smoking ban in parts of Lancashire next week.
Role-plays will give advice on issues such as how to deal with customers who refuse to stub out and how to prepare staff for the smoking ban.
There will also be advice on the rules regarding smoking shelters.
Professional actors will perform key messages about the smoke free laws; everything from how do I ask a smoker to not smoke in my pub to what does the law mean to my businessA council spokesman.
Pubs and other hospitality business from across Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council and Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council regions are expected attended the events, which take place from Monday 16 April to Wednesday 18 April.
Hosts will have a chance to ask questions and advice was on hand from other important agencies such as council licensing and planning department and the fire service.
Andrew Walsh, public health co-ordinator for Oldham Primary Care Trust and Oldham Council, said: "The countdown to smoke free legislation is now well and truly on - it's now less than 80 days away - and all businesses are encouraged to start planning for the summer.
"Professional actors from Oldham Theatre Workshop will perform key messages about the smoke free laws; everything from how do I ask a smoker to not smoke in my pub to what does the law mean to my business."
Seminars for the hospitality trade take place at the Grange Arts Centre, Rochdale Road, Oldham, between 5pm and 7pm on Monday and midday to 2pm on Tuesday and Wednesday. Licensees can just turn up to attend and are advised to park at the nearby Civic Centre. For more information call 0161 770 3447.
