The English Beef and Lamb Executive (EBLEX) has launched a business support package for licensees.
The EBLEX Pub Club has been created to help members of the Quality Standard Scheme maximise sales.
Membership benefits include:
Free promotional support material throughout the year, including tactical promotional kits to highlight key dates and occasions in the pub calendar
Guidance on beef and lamb specifications to ensure consistent product quality
Menu development advice provided by Quality Standard beef and lamb suppliers in conjunction with EBLEX
An easily accessible recipe bank featuring a host of traditional and modern dishes to add interest and value to any pub menu
EBLEX foodservice project manager Hugh Judd said: "Essentially the Pub Club is a business partnership between caterers in the licensed sector, their suppliers and EBLEX. It brings together all parts of the supply chain to promote innovation, provenance and integrity; to improve quality competitiveness and efficiency; as well as to help the licensed trade successfully develop sales of Quality Standard beef and lamb.
"It will also create a network of like-minded caterers who will be able to share ideas and experiences at special Pub Club events throughout the year."
Caterers visiting IFE next week will have the opportunity to learn more about the benefits of signing up the Quality Standard scheme and joining the EBLEX Pub Club at the 'George & Dragon pub', upstairs on EBLEX's stand SD2319.
All licensed caterers who register with EBLEX's Quality Standard scheme will automatically become members of Pub Club. Further information on signing up to the scheme is available by calling the hotline on 0800 781 4221.
