A well-decorated gastro pub, boasting accolades such as Suffolk Dining Pub of the Year, is up for grabs.

The Crown Inn in Buxhall, Stowmarket, has 65 years of a 99-year lease still to run, with rent of just £50 a year payable to Greene King - less than a pound a week.

The pub has been run by Trevor and Cathy Golton for the last eight years and has built up a sizeable reputation for serving quality food.

In 2005 it was named Suffolk Dining Pub of the Year and has also appeared in

The Good Pub Guide, Which Pub? Guide, The AA Pub Guide, the Good Beer Guide and the Michelin Eating Out in Pubs Guide.

The pub is completely

non-smoking and comprises two restaurant areas, a snug, a recently refurbished public bar, and a beer garden and patio complete with heaters, lighting and a fully automated watering system.

There is also a catering kitchen and three-bedroom owners' accommodation.

The pub is situated in a rural location two miles west of Stowmarket with the benefit of the location being that it qualifies for 100% rate relief.

Brittania director Alan Crowest said: "The Crown operates on traditional pub opening hours and is closed on Sunday evenings and all day on Monday, offering

considerable scope to increase trade by opening for longer hours. The Crown

is well-established on the

eating-out circuit."

The Crown is on the market for £455,000 through Brittania Business Sales. For more information call 01379 643551.
