Top Gun's benevolent rivals are buddies
Snifter donned his best tweeds to ride up to Holland and Holland shooting club in Middlesex for the Buddies of the Benevolent clay- pigeon shoot. Eight teams of four battled it out around the grounds for the Top Gun prize. Snifter - who thought clay pigeons would actually resemble little pigeons - clearly knew nothing about the sport. So it came as a great surprise when he managed to hit 33 out of 64 clays, only 18 clays behind Top Gun Chris Mitchell from Cube Communications, who - Snifter might add - had brought his own 12-bore and had clearly been donning tweed for years. Buddies of the Benevolent chairman Nick Dymoke-Marr of Orbital Wines seemed rather annoyed at coming only one clay behind the Top Gun. The event raised over £3000 for the charity and Snifter just can't wait to compete next year.
