Managed operator Mitchells & Butlers has unveiled a new pub concept code-named Windsor.
Last night saw the opening of the sixth Windsor venue, coincidentally called The Windsor, which is in London's Fenchurch Street.
The concept aims to attract a broad customer base and above-average food sales.
It is being piloted in city centre sites that are based in areas undergoing regeneration.
The project takes its name from the Windsor pub in Birmingham which was the first venue to be converted almost a year ago.
Mike Bramley, managing director of M&B's Pubs & Bars, said: "The idea is to appeal to office works and shoppers - a broad church. They major on food and wine choice, for example. The pricing is definitely good value but higher than in Goose pubs."
Other cities that have seen a Windsor site open include
Manchester and Glasgow.
Bramley said that there was a pipeline of other sites that are set to be converted.
The Windsor concept sits in the Town Pubs and Classic part of the M&B business, overseen by former Laurel executive Karen Forrester.
