Experienced pub operators Jackie and Gary Penfold have taken over as the new landlords at the Kingsley Inn in Northam, near Bideford in Devon.
The business was sold off an asking price of £70,000 for its leasehold by Stonesmith, on behalf of licensee Phil Mason.
'Jackie and Gary have been running pubs in the north of the country, but, with family close by, they decided to relocate to the West Country,' said Stone-smith's Paul Reilly.
'Jackie will be managing the front of house and Gary, being an accomplished chef, will be concentrating on the catering. Working with them is Gary's sister Joanne Penfold, who has been in the hospitality industry in the area for many years and has experience in all aspects of the trade.
'One of their first priorities is the refurbishment of the trade areas and back up facilities, such as the kitchens, which will then allow them to offer food.
'Gary will be using local fresh produce and has produced an extensive menu, available lunchtimes and evenings.'
The character two-storey property has an open-plan bar with public and lounge bar areas, providing about 48 covers on the ground floor.
At the rear there is a beer cellar and catering kitchen. The first floor is laid out as owner accommodation with a living room, private kitchen, three double bedrooms and a bathroom.
Outside, there is a car park, timber store sheds and a patio trade area.
