A north London pub renowned for its floral displays is offered for sale.
Acting on behalf of licensee Bill Ferncombe, the Enfield office of property agents Christie & Co is marketing the Three Horseshoes in Whetstone, north London.
This attractive, traditional public house has a prime trading location alongside the A1000 on Whetstone High Road, one mile north of North Finchley and just south of High Barnet. The affluent area of North London is popular with visitors and residents for its eating and drinking venues.
The Three Horseshoes is well known locally for its good food and beer and also for its beautiful floral displays. The building's exterior is festooned with hanging baskets which recently earned the pub third place in the Best Bloomin' Pub category of the Barnet in Bloom 2005 awards.
The ground floor trading area is divided into three separate areas including a dining area to seat 18. There is also a front beer patio, an enclosed rear garden and three-bedroom owner's accommodation.
Martin Gould, from Christie's Enfield office, said: 'Our client has operated the Three Horseshoes for five-and-a-half years and has developed a consistent and profitable business during his tenure.
'The business is wet-led with food being served at lunchtimes and early evenings.
There is potential to expand the current food offering with a more diverse menu, enhancing trade in the process.
The Three Horseshoes leasehold interest is offered for sale at an asking price of £165,000. There are still 15 years to run on the current 20-year lease and the current rent is £35,000 per annum.
