It's the stuff of dreams for fans and players of the FA Cup. A bunch of part-time footballers who make up Burton Albion will get to stamp their hard-earned boots on Old Trafford turf when they play one of the most famous clubs in the world - Manchester United.

Anyone who has the slightest interest in the "beautiful game" have, and rightly so, taken a very keen interest in this FA Cup replay, which will be shown on BBC1 on Wednesday at 7.30pm.

The match is a one of nine replays being staged on Tuesday and Wednesday. The winners will each become one of the 32 teams contesting the Cup's fourth round, which is on the weekend of 28 and 29 January (one for the busy licensee's diary).

Just under a fortnight ago, it would have been "Burton who?" (myself included) if the side ever cropped up in footy chat.

But now, much to the Conference side's credit, Burton's heroes have held the media's national spotlight after their magnificent effort to draw 0-0 against mighty ManU last Saturday in front of 5,000 fans at the Pirelli Stadium.

So what kind of heat is in store for them at the home of the Red Devils on Wednesday?

Well, unlike last Saturday, surely Sir Alex Ferguson won't take any chances and will field a full-strength team from the kick-off?

Let's face it, any side that survives a second-half onslaught from England's star striker Wayne Rooney and the Portuguese whiz kid Cristiano Ronaldo, deserves more respect the second time round.

However, facing the wrath of Sir Alex wanting revenge could be the last thing on the mind of Burton's boss Nigel Clough, who has already scored a victory for his club and fans.

The tie at Old Trafford is tipped to be worth £500,000 for Burton. That might be small change for the £100m star-studded line-up that comprises ManU, but as Clough has said it's "staggering" for Burton.

The former England and Nottingham Forest midfielder ultimately believes that Burton "doesn't have a prayer" of winning at Old Trafford.

But didn't he say something similar before last Saturday?

In another televised FA Cup replay, Leeds host Wigan at Elland Road on Tuesday (SS1, 7.30pm) after they drew 1-1 last Saturday.

Meanwhile, in the Premiership it's top versus bottom as the Blues head to the Stadium of Light on Sunday (SS1, 7.30pm). The Black Cats are staring the relegation axe in the face, so they will be desperate for points.

Chelsea's "special ones" will be wary of such a tie. Their last David and Goliath clash against Everton last August, ended in a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.

It was a dramatic result, as the Toffees under David Moyes, managed to put an end to Jose Mourinho's bold bid for a record run of straight wins.

Last but not least, Sir Alex faces a tough derby as ManU play away to Manchester City on Saturday (12noon, SS1). The Light Blues managed to draw 1-1 back in September at Old Trafford.
