The buyer of the food-led Maypole Inn in West Yorkshire plans to boost its dining reputation by opening an all-day, everyday restaurant.
Tom Donoghue snapped up the inn, which is in the village of Warley, for an undisclosed amount off an asking price of £145,000 for the leasehold interest.
Christine Cody-Owen, from Christie & Co's Leeds office, said: "The previous owner, who had operated the Maypole Inn since 1999, had established an excellent reputation for serving fine food.
"The Maypole Inn has lots of potential to increase the turnover by operating longer hours and making better use of the function room.
"This is a two-storey detached property with character, it is a popular pub and there is a strong local trade."
The inner entrance porch leads to a two-section bar with seating for up to 50 people and has period features, such as exposed beams and a wood-burning stove.
There is also a raised restaurant area or function room that has 50 covers and features open fireplaces.
At the rear, there is a garden with a small animal farm, a sun terrace with an outdoor bar, patio heaters and seating for up to 40 people.
