The Maltsters Arms will appeal to buyers seeking to tap into a food-led operation in the tourist trap of north Cornwall.

Graham Timmins, of Miller Commercial, said: "The Maltsters Arms is an attractive village pub in Chapel Amble, an area well provided for with top quality holiday letting complexes."

"The Grade 11-listed, end-of-terrace property dates back to the 1730s and as its name suggests, it brewed its own beer until the early 1800s."

"Since then it has been tastefully developed, now offering an attractive lounge bar area that caters for up to 120 covers, over four principal eating areas."

He said the inn traded strongly (under management) with sales turnover for the year to January 2005 quoted at £325,000.

"The turnover is largely food led and has a seasonal trading influence as tourists drive over from Rock, Polzeath and Port Isaac during the summer to enjoy its culinary delights."

Offers are invited for the leasehold of the Maltsters Arms.
