People are spending more money on eating out each year - a fact that will be reflected at this year's premier event for the pub trade - Pub and Bar.

At the leading industry event, which takes place from April 19 - 21, there will be a Food Innovation Theatre sponsored by 3663 - which will give crucial advice and inspiration for making the most of their food offering.

Britons spent an average of £312 per person a year on eating out in 2004 - according to Datamonitor. This highlights the need for publicans to make sure they are making the most out of this potentially lucrative market.

The 3663 Food Innovation Theatre will be home to cookery demonstrations and there will be a new range of products launched that are aimed at children.

Ian Holliday, pub specialist team manager at 3663 First For Foodservice, said: "As a leading supplier to the pub industry, we think it is important to bring innovation to the market place, both through new products and concepts which can help boost sales."

"The 3663 Food Innovation Theatre will show our customers how to improve their profit through menu ideas, taking ordinary meals and making them extraordinary."

This year the show will have a brand new look, new hall, new dates and an exciting new feature programme based on all that's great about The Publican.

The new-look Pub & Bar show will bring The Publican's pages to life at Olympia 's National Hall on 19-21 April 2005.
