Everards is launching its Sleighbell Christmas cask ale next month. The Leicestershire-based brewery is also introducing special pump clips sporting bells. Available from 1 December in nine-gallon casks, the 4.5% abv beer is said tobe a rich copper ale that "captures the essenceof the season". Erika Hynes, brands manager for Everards said: "We're making Sleighbell available again for the Christmas period due to its successand popularity in previous years. We thought thespecial pump clips with bells would provide a fun way for our tenants and the free trade to promoteSleighbell. We hope thatreal-ale enthusiasts, and those not so familiarwith our ales, will betempted to try thistraditional Christmas beer."
Budweiser Budvar tests radio waves
Budweiser Budvar is planning to broadcast its marketing message across radio waves. In a bid to build awareness of the Czech brand without using mass-market mediums, the brewery's UK arm said it would use regional radio next year. The company's UK chief executive, John Harley, is currently reviewing scripts for the push, which is expected to launch in March.
Pinot Grigio adds fire to Devil's Rock
German producer Devil's Rock is broadening its wine styles beyond its Riesling stronghold with the addition of a Pinot Grigio. The wine, which is sourced from the Rheinhessen region, is sealed with a screwcap closure in-keeping withthe rest of the portfolio.

Malibu has been given a makeover in a bid to emphasise its Caribbean roots. The liqueur is nowsaid to sport a more colourful sunset, an updated typeface and handy see-through strips that will enable staff to tell when the bottle's nearly empty.
