Heineken family tops trade rich list
A number of individuals and families in the pub, spirits and brewing industries, feature in the annual The Sunday Times rich list.
The top 15, in descending order of wealth, are: 1 Charlene and Michel de Carvalo (£2,260m):
The family's Heine-ken stake is worth £2.2bn.
2 David and Simon Reuben (£2,200m):
The property billionaires have a small stake in a group of pubs operated by Spirit Group.
3 Mark Pears and family (£800m): Pears, 41, was part of the partnership that helped fund the £57m acquisition of 252 pubs from Punch by London & Edinburgh Inns last December.

The Guinness family: (£725m): The family still hold a substantial stake in Guinness, now part of Diageo.
5 Trevor Hemmings (£700m): Hemmings, 48, holds a £153m stake in Scottish & Newcastle and bought the Branigans chain last year.

The Grant family (£420m): Owns William Grant and Sons, the distiller of Glenfiddich malt, which made a profit of nearly £61m on sales of £322m last year.

Robert and Vincent Tchenguiz (£400m): The brothers made a profit of £58m when Pubmaster was sold.

Vivian Imerman (£400m): Imerman, 48, is chairman of whisky group Whyte & Mackay, where he holds a 60% stake worth £55m. 9 Frank Brake and family (£270m): Brake, 70, landed his fortune when the food supply company Brake Bros was sold in 2002.
10 Douglas Myers (£200m): The Myers family sold its 16% stake in Lion Nathan for £70m to the Japanese brewer Kirin.
11 Hugh Osmond (£180m): Osmond's fortune comes from Punch Taverns, a stake in Spirit and a 24% stake in Wellington Investments worth £60m. 12 Guy and Julia Hands (£175m): Hands and his wife earned their fortune running Nomura's investments.
His Terra Firma Capital Partners is selling Wizard Inns at present.
13 Michael Cannon (£160m): Cannon has bought and sold the Magic Pub Company and Morrells of Oxford.
14 David McMullen and family (£140m): The Hereford brewer had assets of more than £69.4m in 2002 and profits of £9.5m on sales of £50.5m. 15 Tim Martin (£90m):
His stake in JD Wetherspoon rose in value by 15% during his six-month sabbatical.
