• Bluu​, the music bar and lounge in London's Hoxton Square has undergone a £100,000 refit.

Improvements to the site include a new bar and basement, an extended drinking area with covers for 50 as well as new toilet facilities and new seating.

The site, which is owned by the Fat Cat Group​, has been renovated to keep it up to date with the company's latest three Bluu sites in Nottingham, Liverpool and Manchester.

Creevy LLH​ is selling the Poprokit​ pub in Edinburgh city centre.

The site has 13 years left on its lease with a current annual rental of £33,000. The premises has been placed on the market for a minimum of £100,000 including fixtures and fittings.

The site has separate bar areas arranged over ground and lower ground floors as well as a fully-fitted commercial kitchen.

Greystones Bar & Restaurant​ (pictured)​ is the only pub within a 10 mile radius of Carsphairn, near Castle Douglas, Scotland.

The traditional single-storey property is built of stone with a slate roof. The property has a bar, 16-cover dining room and a function room for up to 50 people.

The pub gets its name from a large granite boulder situated at the rear of the bar. This is called "The Devil Stone" and the legend is that when the nearby village of Kirk was being built the devil threw the stone to show his displeasure.

The Whitbread Group​ has acquired two new sites for its Brewster​ family pub chain.

It has purchased a 1.7 acre site in Swindon for £800,000 and a 1.1 acre site in Ashford, Kent. Vail Williams​ handled the sales.

Remedies​, the expanding pub chain, has purchased a commercial premises in Exmouth. The two-storey former printworks backs directly onto the back of its existing pub in the town. The group hopes that it can use the added 3,000 sq ft to add a nightclub onto the site.

The group is looking for other sites in sizable towns throughout the West Country.
