Now in its seventh year, Pub & Bar at London's Olympia is set to once again be the industry's biggest and best must-attend showcase.

Now in its seventh year, Pub & Bar is unchallenged as the pub industry's premier show. And Pub & Bar 2004, which runs from March 30 to April 1 at London's Olympia, will be bubbling over with the products and ideas that can help you grow your business.

More than 250 industry suppliers will be exhibiting, promising that Pub & Bar will have more than ever to tempt visitors. There are new names, new products and new ideas - and a trip to the show will mean you see and hear them first.

And as well as the stands there is the usual extensive programme of interactive features including the Pub Food Cookery Theatre, the Brewery Showcase and two new features based around wine. The Wine Theatre will give licensees practical tips on making the most of a growing market while the Constellation Wines Bar will give them an opportunity to taste a variety of examples.

Also part of the show for the first time this year is the New Product Trail, highlighting launches of products and services - an area Pub & Bar prides itself in.

All new products and services will be promoted throughout the show with exhibitors that are launching new products displaying certificates on their stands.

A New Product Trail floor plan will be handed out to visitors at the registration desk, enabling them to find what they are looking for quickly and easily.

"This year's show promises to offer even more to the visitor: new products, offers and promotions, training and advice and much more," said event director Michele Hams. So if you only go to one show this year, it has to be Pub & Bar.

Entrance to the show is free for trade visitors. For your ticket, contact the visitor hotline on 01923 690642 or register online at www.pubandbar.co.uk.

ALMR AGM and Spring Event

A gallery of controversial organisations will line up to face the pub industry music at the Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers' Spring Event, which has once again chosen Pub & Bar as its venue.

Anti-smoking charity ASH, Westminster City Council and industry watchdog The Portman Group will get the chance to have their say on smoking in public places, the licensing laws and responsible drinking, all the subject of much fierce debate within the ALMR over the past year.

Views will be presented by ASH director Deborah Arnott, Portman Group chief executive Jean Coussins and Cllr Audrey Lewis, cabinet member for licensing at Westminster.

As well as the association's own report to members, the event will also include a keynote speech from former Scottish & Newcastle Retail boss Bob Ivell, commentary from industry pundit Phil Dixon and a three-course lunch.

Tickets for the ALMR Spring Event on Wednesday March 31 cost £69 for members or £85 for non-members. For more information email info@almr.org.uk or phone 020 8579 2080. All attendees of the ALMR AGM gain automatic VIP status at Pub & Bar.
