Brakes has added three new luxury flavours to its La Cremeria range of premium dairy ice creams.
The new Belgian Dark Chocolate & Orange and Belgian White Chocolate are two flavours at the forefront of modern dessert trends. The third new flavour, Banoffee Pie, is a new twist on a traditional favourite - smooth banana dairy ice cream swirled with a rich banoffee toffee sauce and a spiced ginger crumb.
Brakes marketing manager for desserts and ice cream Leon French says higher consumer expectations of what constitutes a premium ice cream has driven the decision to reinvigorate the La Cremeria range. He adds: "Our research showed that consumers considered both richness of flavour and a luxurious mouth feel as key to their perceptions of ice-cream quality. So we worked with Nestlé to introduce three new truly decadent flavours. While we improved each of the existing flavours, we also changed the recipe for the entire range from whipping to double cream, making [La Cremeria] even smoother and creamier than before."
