Police have launched a murder hunt after a man died following an attack at a Cambridgeshire pub.
Officers believe Peter Stone, 37, was attacked with a blunt instrument at the Chequers in Cottenham at about 2.25am on Sunday.
Stone had been drinking in the pub on Saturday night.
The victim was rushed to Addenbrookes Hospital with serious head injuries, and died on Monday evening.
Officers have set up a mobile police station in the village to encourage local people to come forward with information.
They are also carrying out door-to-door enquiries.
Forensic officers have searched the pub.
Domestic abuse plea Pubs in Carmarthenshire are taking part in a campaign to cut domestic abuse against women as Christmas approaches.
Posters have been printed urging female victims of domestic violence to come forward.
These will go up in the ladies' toilets at pubs around the county.
At the same time, 10,000 beer mats carrying the same message have also been issued.
A spokesman from organisers Carmarthenshire Domestic Abuse Forum said the campaign was targeted at women aged 18 to 35, who are the least likely to stand up to domestic violence.
Hot-wired to court A drunk barman who hot-wired a car to get home after his shift, ended up mounting the vehicle on the kerb outside another pub, damaging the engine.
Matthew Harrison, 23, admitted aggravated vehicle taking, drink-driving and driving without a licence or insurance at Gloucester Magistrates Court last week.
Harrison, of Elderwood Way, Tuffley, Gloucestershire, finished his afternoon shift at the Orchard in Quedgeley but continued drinking until 10.30pm, the court heard.
"He started to walk home and stopped when he saw a car, a Skoda, parked," said Andrew Walters, prosecuting.
"He smashed a window, hot-wired it and drove off.
But when he got to the Morning Star public house he mounted the kerb, bursting the front tyres and damaging the engine."
A police dog tracked the barman back to his home where he was arrested.
Harrison, who was found to be over the drink-drive limit by more than twice the legal amount, was granted unconditional bail.
He is due to re-appear at court on 2 January.

Drug rape campaign Drink spiking is being targeted in a new campaign in the West Midlands.
Posters and leaflets will be distributed to pubs and clubs across the region, advising customers to keep an eye on their drinks and look after their friends.
The leaflets have been designed to look like cocktail menus.
A radio campaign has also been launched as part of the scheme, and police will be present in a number of venues some accompanied by sniffer dogs, which have been trained to detect "drug rape" drugs.
