A new internet service providing real, organic and vegetarian beers has been set up by Clarke's Organic Group in an effort to champion beers from the growing number of UK microbrewers.

Patrick Clarke, managing director of Clarke's, said: "As a die-hard real ale fanatic, I was finding it difficult to buy quality ales and beers. There are many microbrewers in the UK who do not get the exposure they deserve and that is where our website comes in.

"It has been designed to showcase the wealth of quality beers and ales from the UK's microbrewers and to enable people to buy all featured beers as easily as they might buy the more traditional mass produced beers."

As well as its range of real ales, Clarke's also offers a bespoke create-your-own-beer service whereby a specially made beer or ale can be tailor-made to a licensee's specifications.

Graham Dunning, development director, said: "We hit on the idea after one of our customers asked if we could create a special beer for his wedding.

"The relative ease with which we can produce a tailormade beer means that the prices are realistic enough that you could have a new personalised beer or ale every year for the rest of your life."
