The Manor House Hotel, which overlooks Lindisfarne Castle, Priory and Harbour ­ the principal landmarks of the mystical Holy Island in Northumberland ­ has been sold amidst strong interest for the full asking price of £575,000, through Christie & Co. After 18 years of ownership, proprietors George and Jennifer Ward sold the business to John Barlow from Sunderland, Tyne & Wear. The 19th century Victorian property is set on Holy Island, historically one of the UK's most important centres for Christianity. The island is separated from the mainland for five hours, twice a day, but can be accessedat low tide via a causeway, when it becomes a magnet for tourists. Chelsea's Crown The Crown, a significant and established pub in Chelsea, SW London, is for sale with Fleurets at £175,000 + SAV, leasehold. The Crown is in a corner position with accommodation over four floors, including three bedrooms and a trade kitchen. There are two trade areas, with an open-plan bar at the front and a 35-cover restaurant area to the rear. The pub is located in an affluent residential area, within 100 yards of the Fulham Road, the Crown is to the side of the Royal Marsden Hospital and within walking distance of Kings College.
