Unique night Top-performing Unique Pub Company licensees gathered at London's Victoria & Albert Museum for a glittering awards night hosted by showbiz legend Bruce Forsyth. Nine Unique hosts, judged to be the best in the company's 4,000-strong estate, each received a trophy and £1,000 in prize money as a reward for their entrepreneural flair. "The Retailer Awards allow us to give an extra acknowledgement to the licensees who have, in various ways, achieved an outstanding level of success during the past year," said Unique managing director Graham Turner. One of the most prestigious accolades, Lifetime Achiever, went to veteran licensee Theresa Swanick who has run the Peveril of the Peak in Manchester for the past 32 years.
