Jade the Folk Singer" sparkles as the first Babycham Funny Woman. Babycham, in the year of its 50th birthday, has been searching for the best new female comic talent in the UK. After a storming performance at the Comedy Store in London, Jade has been crowned as the first winner of the Babycham Funny Women Comedy Awards. The final followed six regional events held across the UK to find new female comedy talent and, through the Funny Women organisation, raise awareness and funds for breast cancer charities. Just under £5,000 was raised and will be donated to charity. Paul Hillier, brand manager, said: "This is a fantastic proposition for Babycham it links in perfectly with the brand's sense of fun and its girlie image. It is also great that while finding these talented and very funny women we can help to raise awareness and money for breast cancer charities." Sarah Davies, a 28-year-old teacher from London, performed as Jade the Folk Singer to an appreciative and packed crowd at the famous West End venue. After winning the award Davies said: "I'm thrilled and very grateful to Babycham and Funny Women for giving me and the other women this opportunity.
