Revolutionary e-learning launch for cellar management Staff training at a fraction of normal cost.

Creative Learning Media (CLM) will launch a new e-learning programme Cellar Management - A Guide to Quality Beer on April 1 at the Pub & Bar Show in London.

Cellar Management - A Guide to Quality Beer represents a new, flexible and inexpensive way to ensure that staff know how to keep beer in perfect condition so that customers get a perfect pint, every time.

Using up-to-date e-learning techniques never previously available, the programme is designed for anyone with a computer with a CD drive and sound. Simply insert the CD, follow the simple instructions and the programme is available for staff whenever it suits them to take 20 minutes or so to complete each module.

CLM, the company behind the programme already has an impressive track record in delivering high quality e-learning programmes to the pub industry. Over 300,000 learners are already using CLM products for Foundation Food Safety and Health & Safety.

The programme was piloted throughout the Hall & Woodhouse estate of over 100 pubs in November 2002.

The course assumes no prior knowledge of the cellar, beer production, service or cellar jargon. Learners find that the interactive content, complete with work-based animations, fault-finding exercises and a full voice-over means that learning is fun and highly effective. Staff who have already been trained in some areas can skip those sections by taking a short assessment. This means that no-one needs to re-learn things they already know.Commenting on the launch, CLM's managing director Richard Taylor said: "We've proved again that superior e-learning programmes really work and at a cost of between only £10 and £20 per learner this is a run-away winner all round."

You can try out the course on Stand P4040 at the Pub & Bar Show, which takes place on April 1-3 at Olympia, London.
