  • Chesterton has been appointed by the Spirit Group to identify and acquire up to 40 sites for its Two for One, Wacky Warehouse and Bar Room Bar concepts. The agent is looking for sites in Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Avon, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Hampshire, South Wales, Cumbria, Lancashire and North Staffordshire. Spirit has already identified 26 suitable locations for the outlets, 23 of which would be roadside sites for Two for One and Wacky Warehouses and the rest urban locations for its Bar Room Bar pizza brand.

The famous Marquee music venue in Islington, North London, is up for sale. The business which went into administration on January 20 was resurrected in September last year and has a number of famous acts booked until March. The 1,200-capacity venue has a bar and grill, a turnover of around £500,000 and employs 40 staff. BDO Stoy Hayward Business Recovery is handling the sale of the business.

Robert Barry & Co has sold the Station Inn at Ribblehead, near Ingleton, North Yorkshire, for an asking price of £275,000. The pub was built at the height of the Victorian railway boom in 1874 to service the adjacent Settle to Carlisle railway. The traditional inn has separate bunkhouse accommodation which sleeps up to 32 people and a two-bedroom apartment for the residential owners.

The Sheriffmuir Inn in Sheriffmuir, Perthshire, is flanked by the Ochil Hills. It is three miles from Dunblane and a couple of minutes drive from the Stirling to Perth dual carriageway. The pub has a lounge bar, restaurant and a fitted catering kitchen. It also has four letting rooms which could be transferred into owner's accommodation. The current owners have a planning application in progress to build a house, function suite and 10 more bedrooms within the inn. The Lord Cecil pub in Hackney, London is situated on the Lower Clapton Road near a heavily populated area of mixed residential, retail and light commercial use.
