  • Geronimo Inns, the pub-restaurant operator, has taken on the 25-year lease of the Bram Stoker pub on London's Old Brompton Road. It has taken on the lease of the 3,303sq ft site for an annual rent of £80,000 per year. Geronimo has also entered into a new 35-year lease on the Resident pub in Chelsea, West London, for an annual rent of £90,000 per annum. The landlord Raven Group was represented by Shelley and Sandzer while Geronimo was represented by Peter Gropper.

Scottish and Newcastle is continuing with the roll-out of its Chef & Brewer pub restaurant chain. It has acquired seven new sites over the last five months following a marketing campaign it has been running targeting property agents. Chef & Brewer has 125 sites across the UK.

The Dalton Inn in Furness, Cumbria, is a pub which relies on a regular local trade. The family business has a traditional lounge bar, public bar, catering kitchen and seven letting bedrooms. It has a darts team which plays in the pub on most week nights and a bed and breakfast trade which caters for contractors, tourists and walkers. Fleurets is handling the sale. The price is £295,000. The 12th century Royal Oak Inn located in Winsford, Exmoor, one of the West Country's best known pubs, is up for sale. Situated near Exmoor National Park it stands opposite the village green. It has a thatched roof, 16 en suite bedrooms, three lounges, two bars which serve light meals, and a restaurant. It also has three-star accreditation from the RAC, AA and the English Tourism Council. Situated on Blackford's main street the pub has eight letting bedrooms, two bars, a restaurant, function room, owners' flat and an additional undeveloped property. Village pub the Angel Inn, a detached 400-year-old property in Long Ashton near Bristol, is on the market. It has open fires, timber beams, two bars, restaurant and a cobbled courtyard beer garden.
