Budweiser has reinforced its relationship with the world of football after clinching two sponsorship deals with the FA Premier League (FAPL).
The American brand has become the official beer of the FAPL until the end of the 2003/04 season and has also announced a new deal to become an official online partner.
Andrew Day, vice president of Anheuser-Busch Europe, said: "Budweiser's partnership with the FAPL is an outstanding fit, bringing together two brands with a commitment to quality and dedication to being the best."
Apart from its latest deal with the FAPL Budweiser is a major sponsor of the 2006 FIFA World Cup as well as the official beer of Manchester United and Chelsea.
Budweiser is also set to target 4,000 on-trade outlets with a t-shirt promotion in association with trendy street fashion label, Boxfresh.
The promotion gives consumers the opportunity to win the 2003 Budweiser t-shirt with a peel and reveal token available with each purchase of Budweiser.
The promotion will be supported with posters and tent cards in participating pubs and bars. Consumers can also redeem a t-shirt by collecting 12 tokens when purchasing Budweiser during the promotion.
