A 14th century inn and restaurant in Tintagel, Cornwall, is unexpectedly back on the market. The Olde Malt House, near Tintagel Castle supposedly the site of King Arthur's Camelot is for sale through Huntley & Partners with offers invited in the region of £450,000. Senior partner Brian Hasell said the inn was bought in May and is now unexpectedly for sale again due to unforeseen personal reasons. "Although trading successfully, we feel there is excellent potential to develop the Olde Malthouse into a year-round business and to improve the current turnover quite significantly," he added. The freehold property is rich in character, with a bar and two restaurant areas of 30 covers having beamed ceilings, open fireplaces, exposed stone walls and flagstone floors. A patio area can accommodate up to 30 people and there is a well-equipped commercial kitchen. The Olde Malthouse has traded as a mainly seasonal business, with the exception of the eight bedrooms, named after King Arthur's knights, which are let for most of the year. The income from accommodation accounts for 30% of the "substantial turnover" generated from this year's summer trade.
