Diageo GB has added two strings to the Archers bow with the launch of new lime and cranberry variants.
Having successfully broadened the Archers brand into the premium packaged spirit (PPS) sector last year with the introduction of Archers Aqua, Diageo Great Britain is looking to capitalise on the growth of the parent brand by adding two new flavours.
Philip Gladman, marketing director for Archers, said: "Our research shows that females are experimental with their drinking repertoire and enjoy trying new products and flavours. With the same versatility as the existing peach flavour, the new flavours of Archers Schnapps can be served in cocktails as well as allowing for experimentation with a variety of mixers to create refreshing long drinks.
"We are confident that the new cranberry and lime Archers Schnapps will compliment the existing peach flavour perfectly, while heightening the brand's position as the most stylish and feminine speciality spirit in the marketplace."
The introduction of the new Archers schnapps flavours, 23 per cent ABV, will be accompanied by a £1.6m marketing campaign as part of a £20m spend across both the Archers parent brand and Archers Aqua
