Bacardi Breezer's fashionable feline is back to his old tricks in the latest instalment of the high profile Tom Cat advertising campaign.

The £1.1m "House Party" ad, set to be screened nationwide on both terrestrial and satellite television from June 11, is the third of four adverts earmarked for 2001 and coincides with the PPS brand's "Tom is Lost" nationwide poster campaign.

The latest advertisement, filmed in a warehouse in downtown Los Angeles, shows Tom at a trendy party courting the affections of a pretty young thing to the annoyance of her male admirer. Following a testosterone-fuelled tug of war with his human counterpart the advert ends - unsurprisingly - with Tom getting the last laugh.

"Since starring in the first Bacardi Breezer advert, Tom has become a household name and is a great ambassador for the brand. Although there's a male slant to the advertisements, women love him as much as men do as a cat can get away with things that a man doesn't," said Roger Harrison, marketing controller for Bacardi-Martini.

"The 'There's Latin Spirit in Everyone' campaign reflects the duality of people's lives and shows that everyone has an alternative side to their nine-to-five personality," added Mr Harrison.

Following the success of rival Smirnoff Ice, Bacardi-Martini is investing £20m in the Tom Cat campaign designed to attract male drinkers and is due to launch its final instalment, featuring Tom watching a football match on TV, later this year.
