Pub food will play an important part at the Spring Pub Show when it opens at London Olympia on 9-11 April 2001.

These days it is very rare to find a profitable pub which isn't serving food of some shape or form be it fresh or frozen and that is why the Spring Pub Show, which opens in London Olympia on 9-11 April 2001, will be focusing strongly on pub food.

The show will bring together food suppliers, equipment providers and a variety of interactive features to help pub owners and managers improve the quality and variety of food served in their outlets.

Why should you be there? Simple, there's a Pub Food Cookery Theatre for a start which will bring together some of the UK's top chefs who will be demonstrating how great food can be made quickly and easily in your pub.

Then there's the Food Forum which is being run in association with Heinz Food Service and Norwegian and is open to catering development managers and executive chefs. Forum workshops will take place twice a day and include a practical demonstration in the Pub Food cookery theatre by Ralph Porciani, executive chef for Heinz Food Service. Forum will focus on female customers, dessert menus, children's menu development, the latest trends from America, international food trends and family catering.

In essence, the Spring Pub Show will focus on all aspects of thebusiness of pub catering including outdoor play equipment for children and how to make your garden a profit centre in its own right.
