Uncertainty over the future of Bass's brewing arm has not stopped the company winning considerable amounts of new business across the UK.
Speculation about the impending sale of Bass Brewers, with Heineken, Carlsberg and South African Breweries among those reckoned to be in the running, has not stopped the company from carrying on in "business as usual" mode.
One of the highest profile deals involves a strengthening of Bass sponsorship links with cricket, through a new five-year deal with Gloucestershire County Cricket Club.
As well as supplying Carling, Worthington, Caffrey's, Grolsch and Draught Bass to club bars, Bass Brewers will use facilities at the county ground in Bristol throughout the year.
Gloucestershire, holders of the NatWest and Benson & Hedges cups, join a growing list of cricketing links for Bass, also involved with Glamorgan, Lancashire, Hampshire and Warwickshire.
Other recent deals for Bass Brewers include a supply deal with Bolton operator Greenwood Leisure, which is looking to expand its estate.
Sales development manager Steve Callan said: "This is an excellent new business win and proof of the superior brands we supply and the first-rate deals we offer to customers."
Other new accounts are the White Hart in Duffield, near Derby, and the Prince in Stockingford, Warwickshire.
A Bass spokeswoman said: "These new trading deals are testament to the strength and popularity of brands like Caffrey's, Worthington and Carling as well as to the unbeatable customer service package we can offer. During the current strategic review of Bass' brewing business it's very much business as usual — as these latest business wins show."
