Electric Shuffle New York opening ‘truly momentous moment’
Situated in the NoMad district in the American city, the multi-million-pound investment occupies 10,000sq ft of Manhattan real estate on the second floor, next to the Virgin Hotel.
The site, which is set to open on 12 July, is set across two floors with floor-to-ceiling windows, has two bars, 13 shuffleboard play spaces, which accommodate up to 20 players each, and the venue has a capacity of up to 375.
Electric Shuffle is the second concept from Red Engine, which also founded Flight Club. During 2023, Red Engine reported it sold more than 1m cocktails, boosted by Bristol and Birmingham cocktail weekends, and summer and winter terraces.
Momentous moment
In April, the company secured £60m from Santander, HSBC and Barclays to help drive growth.
Following this, just last month (June), Red Engine revealed plans to “push the accelerator” on global expansion this year.
Electric Shuffle and Flight Club CEO and co-founder Steve Moore said: “This is a truly momentous moment for brand.
“To open a venue in one of the most exciting and cutting-edge cities in the world for hospitality is something beyond our wildest dreams when we opened our first venue almost 10 years ago.
Future plans
He added: “We’re incredibly proud of the team that helped us get here. We can’t wait to open our doors and give New Yorkers the Electric Shuffle experience.”
There are also plans for Red Engine to open Flight Club Liverpool and Oxford as well as across the globe in Philadelphia, Washington and Melbourne being opened by Red Engine’s international partners.
These openings will mean the global Flight Club and Electric Shuffle venue portfolio will increase to 33.
