Yorkshire brewery Timothy Taylor is set to re-open the Town Hall Tavern in Leeds, West Yorkshire, next month following its revamp into a gastropub.
The re-launch will feature guests rating the new-look décor and the food, in a courtroom-themed night.
The Town Hall Tavern, which dates back to 1926, was traditionally used by solicitors who would sit on one side of the pub preparing for their cases, with the accused drinking on the other side.
Guests will also be able to vote for their favourite dish and write about their "guilty pleasure" of the evening in
a leather-bound book.
The pub is being transformed into an "eclectic, homely venue, with dark wooden panels contrasting with bold accessories, while ensuring the traditional heritage and charm is retained". It will re-open on 20 May.
The gastro menu will feature a range of fresh meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, including a "pushed for time" section with quick bites for diners in a hurry.
Timothy Taylor operations manager Marc Craddock said: "The Town Hall Tavern has a unique history and charm that we have worked hard to retain throughout the plans.
"We want to ensure the new elements are in line with high expectations of what our business guests and VIPs want and need.
"Their feedback is important to both Timothy Taylor and the new Town Hall
Tavern staff."
