Snacks companies have been gearing up for the start of Euro 2004 with the launch of new flavours and new advertising campaigns.
Walkers Sensations has unveiled its latest ad campaign featuring Tara Palmer Tompkinson. The new ads feature the it-girl in a series of dresses made from food and a poppadom hat (pictured).
The Sensations campaign, which will be appearing in women's magazines until the end of the year, was launched to mark the introduction of the new chargrilled steak and peppercorn sauce flavour Sensations and the latest variety Sensations Poppadom Bites which are available in three flavours - creamy chicken pasanda, cool yoghurt and mint, and spicy tandoori masala.
Another celebrity - television and radio presenter Vernon Kay - has also joined the snacks market by becoming the new face of Walkers Doritos.
His new television ad campaign marks the launch of the new Doritos Latinos flavours - Mexican grill, chargrilled barbecue, and sour cream and black pepper.
Meanwhile Golden Wonder has invested £2.5m in its Nik Naks brand which is growing at 15 per cent year on year.
And not to be outdone, United Biscuits has launched a new flavour of Mini Cheddars - Cheesy Beans.
