Minehead to get a JDW

JD Wetherspoon has bought the Wellington Hotel in Minehead, Somerset, off an asking price of £2m.

The hotel has 25 letting bedrooms, two public bars, a karaoke bar, a 100-cover restaurant and a separate nightclub, which was opened in 2003 and has access to an outside terraced area.

Michael Easton, of agent Christie+Co’s Exeter Office, who handled the sale, said; “Having owned the business for the past 23 years, the vendor is now looking at opportunities overseas.

“The Wellington Hotel is a well organised and highly profitable business, well supported by the community.”
