St Austell reopens Fishermans Arms

St Austell has reopened the Fishermans Arms in Lambhay Street, Plymouth after a £50,000 refurbishment.

Martyn Scott and partner Pauline Bickford

The two-week long project saw the pub undergo a complete interior revamp with new floors and new furniture. The pub has also launched a new menu showcasing the best of local produce.

AA rosette chef Martyn Scott has taken over as licensee with partner Pauline Bickford.

“Providing fine, locally sourced food, in a relaxed environment will be top of the agenda," said Scott.

"The refurbishment was a major investment by us and the brewery but it has paid off because the pub looks fantastic and very welcoming whilst retaining its traditional character.”
