Brook Leisure ups Regent stake
The parent company of Brook Leisure has upped its stake in beleaguered Walkabout operator Regent Inns to 19.2%.
Sanne Holdings, has increased its stake from around 14% during the week. Brook is one of two companies thought to have held prolonged takeover talks with Regent Inns, which operates the Walkabout, Old Orleans and Jongleurs chains.
In addition to a clutch of nightclubs and bars, Brook has an extensive leisure portfolio that also includes Butlins, Haven and Warner.
