Diageo steps up serves campaign

Diageo GB will be investing in promoting its spirit and mixer serves in the UK on-trade this autumn.

The campaign, entitled Time Together, has been backed by a £200,000 investment that includes PoS kits going to more than 2,000 outlets to help licensees maximise sales of spirits.

The PoS kits, which will include posters, coasters and window vinyls, will focus on core serves, such as Bell’s Scotch whisky over ice, Baileys Irish Cream over ice, Gordon’s gin and tonic with cranberry and Smirnoff Moscow Mule.

Additional serves, such as Morgan’s Spiced and cola will be added, “for more modern outlets”, while Pimm’s Winter PoS kits will be available to outlets that have Pimm’s Winter spirit drink and warm apple juice available.

Diageo GB marketing manager for spirits Ali Wilkes said: “Our research shows that autumn is a time when consumers like to go to pubs or bars to spend relaxed time with friends and families, so we’ve chosen to highlight the serves that are most relevant and will give licensees the best opportunities to increase profits.”
